Academic curriculum

Creative Education Centre uses local CAPS – compliant books and books from Abeka Christian College, in Pensacola, Florida, USA.

We offer classes from Beginners to grade 7

Transition and further achievement

At CEC we aim to prepare learners for their next phase of their lives – high school. We place special emphasis on the formative years of a learner’s life; these years build a foundation for the learner’s future learning. Any building blocks missed during these formative years may create numerous problems in later years. Thus, we strive to ensure that each learner in our care is fully prepared for future learning. We are proud of the positive feedback that we often receive from past pupils confirming that the foundation laid at CEC has enabled them to succeed.

Additional Activities

At CEC we believe educating the “whole child” is crucial in achieving our mission statement. Character development and physical development need to receive attention, in addition to the academics. CEC offers physical activities during and after school hours:

Gym

We offer classes from Beginners to Grade 7 and are taught and guided by a qualified instructor. Classes take place during school hours. Physical skills are developed using a variety of sports. Swimming is included.

Karate

Lessons are offered at an extra cost after school for Grades 2 – 7.

Soccer

Lessons are offered at an extra cost after school.

Ballet

Lessons are offered at an extra cost during school hours (for nursery school learners).

Kick Boxing

Lessons are offered at an extra cost during school for juniors and after school for Grades 2 – 7.

Computer Classes

Lessons are offered at an extra cost after school.

Bible Club

Lessons are offered for free after school.

Chess Club

Lessons are offered at an extra cost after school for Grades 1 – 7.

Aftercare

The school offers an Aftercare facility which is open during school terms only. Healthy lunches are supplied daily, as well as an afternoon snack. Homework is done under supervision of dedicated teachers and staff. Only CEC learners are accommodated.
